I am having a convergence issue while simulation combustion in an equilibrium reactor. Can anyone help me resolving this issue? I would be really grateful.
Here are several things you can try to get a successful simulation.
First, why use an Equlibrium Reactor when you indicate you want to use a Gibbs reaction in the Reaction settings? I changed the reactor to Gibbs.
Second, with multiple reactions you did not indicate a sequence of reactions in the overall mix reactions. I chose at random.
Third, I did get a messange that there may not be a reaction at that Temperature. You may want to investigate raising the feed Temperature. Using the feed composition as an estimate of the product vapor, I get an exit temperature of over 2000 deg!
Hope this helps

The files are attached with this post.

Hi Frank. When I try to run your calculation it gives an error:
[7/4/2020 2:01:07 PM] RG-004: Maximum number of iterations reached.
I tried increasing the both internal and external iterations but no luck in solving it.. I am on a mac with newest version 6.4..

It worked here, Michael. v6.0.4 too. Check on global settings if you have parallel calculations enabled.
Now it works!! Thanks :-)
