Hi everyone! I am trying to simulate a separation of Biodiesel and Glycerol (main products of transesterification reaction) in the biodiesel production process.

The inlet stream to the separator is made up of a mix of biodiesel and glycerol primarily, and some trioleín, NaOH and methanol.

The inlet mass flow % for every component was obtained from composition of reactor outlet stream.

My problem is that trioleín (OOO) at the final of separation goes to the glycerol rich phase when it should go out with the biodiesel rich phase because both of it are polar components.

If anyone can help me, it would be great!

Thanks! Ana.
