audio bug
Brought to you by:

hello,
I'm new to dvdibbler and to video ripping in general. this is
the only piece of software of all the available os x stuff that
works straightforwardly for me, so many thanks for that! I
don't know if this is a bug, but basically if, with the default
audio and video setings, I change the name and location of
the output file, terminal throws up an error message saying
there is no audio output selected and exits. if I leave the
default file name and destination in place it all works fine!
just thought I'd let you know...

I can confirm this bug...
Audio encoding works only if saved to the desktop!

This is a bug (IMO), although not for the fact that you can't change the
filename. The filename entered in the DVDibbler GUI cannot contain any
spaces (and probably can't contain any "funny" characters, either). Try
it, and see if you get the same results as I got.
As a workaround, you can enter any file/path that you want (even those
with spaces), and wait for the command to fail in the terminal. Then
press the "up arrow" to reload the previous command (mencoder) and
edit the command line to put double quotes (") around the path/filename.
That works for me. But I still do consider this a bug. Anybody from the
DVDibbler project wanna take a look?

could you provide a copy of the terminal output showing this error please, as it
might give clues as to what is going wrong.
Kind regards,
