#8 Rental Management System
In using this system, there are a few ways it can be improved.
Rental Management and Credit system is one of them.
Here are the things you don't want happening:
1. leechers just keep borrowing without sharing.
2. people renting too many titles
3. people not returning the DVD on time.
The features that would solve those issues are:
1. Optional credit system where the admins can setup variables to
indicate the loan cap. For example, one would be able to say "one
can borrow 10 DVD's for each DVD s/he shares". This way, people
will be motiviated to share.
2. Rental check out and upper limit system. A feature where you
can track how many titles were rented by a particular account
holder. This will help one with a library-like system where you can
only borrow so many books at a time.
3. Rental length tracker. A system where for each title registered
with the system, if a title has been checked out it will tell you
since when and for how long it's been checked out. A feature such
as the title is highlighted in the list if it has been unavailable for
longer than the preset period of time.
