Greetings. I tried dvddbp but imdb searching did not work whatsoever when using version 1.45. So, I fixed it, and you can now search and import the info into the new dvd entry form. I have a couple bugs to work out but once that is done I would be happy to share my work with the project.
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
Jason Pell, one of the developers for dvddbp has put a lot of work into overhauling the database structure as well as the code itself to provide a more efficient and flexible architecture. This resulted in adding in a lot of requested features such as multiple media types, multi-language support, proxy support, true customization for items, to name a few. Therefore, as you can see since the structure supports more than just DVDs we needed to find ourselves a new name; OpenDB.
OpenDB has come a long way since dvddbp 1.45 and you shouldn't feel worried about losing any of your old data if you decide to go and give it a try. We've provided tools for making the upgrade painless! : )

Hello-
Development of dvddbp has been halted since 2001.
