-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Sean, it seems you didn't get my original personal reply from the dvdauthor list which said: I believe there is a rotate function in dvd-slideshow (undocumented?), however Scott has put a comment in dvd-slideshow that says: ## I encourage you to rotate your pictures before you use this script! So, ensure you have ImageMagick installed, and use the convert command: http://www.imagemagick.org/script/command-line-options.php#rotate eg: convert -rotate "90" image.jpg rotated_image.jpg [snip] As far as archives go: http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?forum_id=47552 which is empty :) http://sf.net/projects/dvd-slideshow/ is a good link to remember. Also: - Are the images you want rotated from a camera with exif info inc. rotation? - what determines (apart from your eyes!:) which images need rotation? - are you trying to automate this? - etc ie. I might be able to help you further, given more information. Scott may have a better answer for you if/when he's awake|not-working|etc Marcus. sean darcy wrote: > Can I - how do I - rotate by 90' some of the jpegs in a slideshow? > > > Also, are there any public archives for this list? > > sean > > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2 (GNU/Linux) iD4DBQFEA9c8jJWyUPVTiJwRAg1HAJi2fAvTcqwmDoMp+02Eqlv/02SRAJ9MzSkZ qay1BO0qkMmTVJGVjWKIhw== =f/rh -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |

Sean, Yeah, I put in a few lines to allow people to rotate images from within the text file, but I haven't checked it in a long time. Try this syntax: image.jpg:duration:subtitle_text:rotate:90 or image.jpg:duration:subtitle_text:rotate:-90 Of course, if there's information in the jpeg header, we could have dvd-slideshow do this automatically, but I haven't looked into it in a while. Also, note that it will just rotate a working COPY of the image, not the original. If more people are interested in this, then I could make it public. hope this helps! -Scott On Tue, 2006-02-28 at 15:53 +1100, Marcus wrote: > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- > Hash: SHA1 > > Sean, it seems you didn't get my original personal reply from the dvdauthor list > > which said: > > I believe there is a rotate function in dvd-slideshow (undocumented?), > however Scott has put a comment in dvd-slideshow that says: > ## I encourage you to rotate your pictures before you use this script! > > So, ensure you have ImageMagick installed, and use the convert command: > http://www.imagemagick.org/script/command-line-options.php#rotate > eg: > convert -rotate "90" image.jpg rotated_image.jpg > > [snip] > > As far as archives go: > http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?forum_id=47552 > which is empty :) > > http://sf.net/projects/dvd-slideshow/ is a good link to remember. > > > Also: > - Are the images you want rotated from a camera with exif info inc. rotation? > - what determines (apart from your eyes!:) which images need rotation? > - are you trying to automate this? > - etc > > ie. One of the admin pages for the mailing list says: Note: All subscriber information is refreshed each Sunday; the subscriber listing for your mailing lists may have changed since the last time this data was updated. Which would be why I can't see you in the subscriber's list, and may have something to do with why you can't access them. We'll see what happens, thanks for letting us know.
