If I cancel out of a ty file editing or it fails
because of some error, the partially processed output
file(s) are still in the directory. If I then try to
fix a cut or otherwise make some correction and restart
the processing using the same filename(s), it seems to
me that the processing restarts from where it ended. In
other words if a processing ended at 15% completion and
I restart it with the same filename(s), the processing
completion index jumps to 15% and then moves at normal
speed from there.

While this might be desirable if the processing was
halted simply to shutdown the machine with the
intention of restarting later, it is not a good thing
when the processing halted because of error or simply
because the user wanted to adjust a cut point. Since
tyedit maintains a lock on the output files the user
can't even delete them before starting over, and the
only recourse is to keep giving the output files
different names for each processing run.

I am using BR1 RC3.
