See 708490.
This is the same stream as 708490 except this time I
pulled the ty using tyEditor off the Tivo onto my local
HD. I put in the same cuts as in 708490, only cuts at
the beginning of the stream to chop out the extra DTV
preview stuff..
Ran it through tyEditor first I see:
demux: Error: Temporal reference error when trying to
close gop
demux: Temporal Reference Error - Repairing
demux: The Temporal Reference error is a overflow in
frames
demux: Overflow in frames repaird
then, it gets worse:
Attached is the log file associated with the stream. I
sent 500 chunks of the stream last night (the beginning
500 chunks). If you need more, please let me know..
I will try to use tydemux 0.4.2 and then mplex, cut
using TMPGEnc and see if that works out better. I will
post a follow up on the results of the "old method"..
thanks

More info, turns out that the mpg that was generated out of
this mess was indeed ok from PowerDVD playing it.
However, tyEditor noted that the stream failed with that error
and I had to CANCEL it to close it out. Strange. So this
might end up being a return code issue with tyEditor? dunno.
We'll see if I can import it into Spruce though now..

As requested by Olaf for all Bug Postings:
email: ed3ed3@hotmail.com
OS: WinXP SP1
TyStudio: 0.5.0 Beta 1
Tivo: Dtivo 2.0.5
As a followup, the MPG generated with the errors in the log
file above caused problems when importing into DVDWS and
SpruceUp. As a test, I used tyEditor to Process the ty file
into Elemental Streams with cut points as mentioned before.
No errors whatsoever when extracting into Elemental
Streams. So it must have something to do with mplex and
tydemux together I would assume as the tydemux portion,
with cuts, by itself seems to be ok.
