Using DVB Salmon

Execution

To run DVB-Salmon, simply type:

dvb-salmon filename

The file name parameter should be either a file containing a dvb transport stream or a device to which an ASI generator is writing.

During Execution

During execution, there will be a menu at the bottom of the page, which will either look like:

S - Show SDT Table P - Show PID List M - Show PMT Data

or:

S - Show SDT Table P - Show PID List M - Show PMT Data < > Prev/Next Service

This shows the possible commands.

Quitting DVB-Salmon

To quit dvb-salmon, type q at any time.
