This code is a Win32 based pre-alpha version of the server side for the IoK clone. The package also contains a map file which contains a couple BG and AG segments. I will be releasing the Win32 client code that goes with this project on the weekend. Please not that because this code uses proprietary Direct X v 8.0 it a) uses firewalls in an obscure way - it does not use the port(s) I tell it to use, or not in a way that I thought, and there was little documentation available at the time of coding (2 years ago); and b) it does not seem to work too well on Windows XP (it was originally coded on a Win98 system). Use at your own risk.
OK, the site is up. The problem is I am a medical intern just finishing up my year of slaver...internship, so my time is EXTREMELY limited right now. This weekend I plan to upload the source to the project I had done so far (IOK Direct Play Client and Server for Windows). However My intention is starting again from scratch using a network protocol that is a little more portable. Coding the actual game is in fact the easy part. If anyone is interested in helping out, please feel free to get in touch. I really plan on making a start on this around Jan-Feb next year, when I go from an intern with almost no free time per week to an "unemployed" GP heheheh... OK, bye for now.
