First of all, what OS's are supported by the Duns
software? (couldn't find pertinent OS compatibility info)
Assuming it will run on Irix, what versions of Irix and
platforms (processor classification) are supported?
For example: we are considering running it on an older
leftover SGI Indy (R5000), and we'd like to know if we
are waisting our time or if you feel it should run fine on
that system.
Thanks in advance,

I have run it on older SGI's and even newer SGI's (IRIS
6.0-6.5). The DUNS code itself should work fine using a
DUNSARCH of either sgi or iris4d, although I've always had
problems getting the plotting to work (dunsplot) program.
Which, it's easy enough to use a package such as tecplot for
plotting, so hopefully that won't be a problem. I have not
compiled it in a while on an SGI architecture, so things may
have changed, but it should work.
In the past, I have run it under AIX, Alpha Linux, Cray, HP
Unix, Linux, and IRIX, but it has been at least two years
(and sometimes more) since I have run it on anything but
Linux, so things may have changed. The parallel stuff, in
particular, may not work well on any machines; if that is a
requirement, that will be a problem.
