Your version of dump is prehistoric, this version was released more than 5 years ago. Your linux kernel and probably your entire distribution is very old too, but you probably have your reasons to keep it that way. However, the latest version of dump should hopefully build and work just fine on your system, and before we look deeper into your problem you should just check if this bug was not fixed in more recent versions of dump.
