It is a great utility, what would make it perfect for me is support for triple monitors, is this possible?
Thanks for your hard work!
All the best,
You seem to have CSS turned off.
Please don't fill out this field.
Agreed would use it every day but for my third monitor.
I have 3 screens always when I'm doing complex work - WebDev I could have upto 5 screens.
I know seems barbaric but actually a massive help as I am a lazy worker so I have a video stream on one and my environment on the other 4.
The ability to add more monitor taskbars would be fantastic - or run multiple instances of the program or ablity to chose which monitors to have the bars on.
First more important to have bars on all screens!
I don't write desktop programs myself - I apreciate how hard it might be and how many people have 2+ monitors is very small, compared to that of just 2.
Your help would be very appreciated.
Yes, this is a must for me - I have four monitors at work. Otherwise the program is awesome, but I can't really use it until it supports > 2 monitors.
I usually have 3 monitors in use, sometimes 4. This program would be great if it supported more than 2 monitors.
Yes, please. I just got a third monitor and really miss having a taskbar on it.
I added support for multiple monitors but I can't test it. I don't have a multi monitor setup currently.
You can download it here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/dualmonitortb/files/Releases/v01.21.010913/DualMonitor%201.21%20Setup.exe/download
Please let me know what problems you have.
(this build includes additional bug fixes and small features)
The third bar loads with the correct number of Applications - but then Dual Monitors immediately crashes (turns white), when you try to-do anything in the windows.
Highlighting the bar shows windows waiting for a response.
CPU stuck at 12%, No memory leaks.
I installed it. The bar starts flickering with nothing visible when it loads. The bar only goes most of the way across the screen (no clock). I then clicked on the bar to see what would happen, and it then popped up the "not responding dialog" asking if I wanted to close the program or wait. Then, there was a bar across the screen, but the area where the clock is is white.
One monitor showed 2 of the three windows on its taskbar while the other monitor only had one window and it wasn't on its taskbar. Both the missing windows were on the main window taskbar.
It ended up never coming around, so I closed it.
Windows 7, Radeon 5770 w/ 3 1920x1200 monitors in portrait. Taskbar at bottom.
I cant figure out hwo to even enable this more than 2 monitors option.
How do you do that?
I have windows 7, 2x ATI 6870 xoc crossfire (disabled)
My set up is
| Mon 1||Mon3 P||Mon2|
The bar appears on mon1, my built in task bar is on mon3 P, and i want it on mon2 but no luck.
Mon2: 1024x1280 (rotated sideways and is NOT the cause of my problem, i checked)
This is what I can think of that might help figure this out.
I have the latest version 1.21.911.12
my email address is timlinton0 through gmail.com
I wouldn't mind helping with the code and testing if you committed this version to the SVN repo.
I agree, three at least... should be easy to make it work for n monitors.
I tried the beta version that supports more than 2 monitors posted in this thread, It starts showing up on my L and R monitors, then lots of flickering and then boom, crashes.
Dito... Please don't stop working on this though! =)
same problem here. crashes immediately after starting.
I'm on Windows 7 with 3 monitors.
I finally got myself a 3 monitor setup, so I started working on it. By next week I think I will have a new version.
V1.22, finally :)
