Hi,
I have to model permanent magnet synchronous generator wind turbine that is through B2B converter connected to the transmission line. The key element is that I have to control grid side and generator side of the B2B converter in order to improve voltage characteristic in transmission grid during a short circuit. I have to control injection of reactive power into the grid to increase voltage during the voltage dips. Can I model B2B converter in OpenDSS-G? If it is possible to model B2B converter can I control it from matlab and connect openDss-G with matlab to make graphs from results? I have just download the softer so I am beginner.
Best regards
Sorry for the late reply, we've been quite busy this week. Yes, you can model the B2B converter in MATLAB and integrate it with OpenDSS-G, just like in the OpenDSS SDK where you have the Direct DLL and COM interface OpenDSS-G also offers interfaces with other programs through TCP/IP, which allows you to go not only outside of OpenDSS-G but also outside of your machine if needed.
Please find attached the MATLAB library and several examples on how o use it, I haven't updated it completely but it shouldn't be a problem for a MATLAB user. Check the initial documentation in:
