Is the source code to DSSIM-PC available, and if so where - would like to add some background maps (google/GIS, etc...) to the interface and maybe a few data load additions.

Unfortunately the code is not avaiable, but you can add new modules thorugh the OpenDSS-PM code. That's the way the OpenDSS architecture has been defined, if you are interested and need more information please don't hesitate to let me know, I'm sure toghether we can make it work.

Thanks for the quick reply Davis! One of the modules we are looking at is extending the visualization capabilities - geo-visualizations (as shown towards the end of the DSSIM-PC video). Would this be possible through the OpenDSS-PM (I believe not).

Never say never!, yes it is possible and is the architecture model that we are adopting with OpenDSS. The aim is to develop tools that can be used from OpenDSS so the other applications around OpenDSS can have access to it, so we don't do redundant work. We developed a module for advanced graphics that we haven't released yet (probably in a couple of weeks, we are still working in some legal issues). Check the user manual (attached), we explain in there how to add other applications to OpenDSS.
