First of all I would like to gratefully thank you for OpenDSS-G it really shows alot of improvements and it is so helpful compared to OpenDSS for a beginner.
Even tho it is great to import a model from opendss to opendssG, but I am facing errors now.
I would like to import the IEEE 34 feeder provided in opendss examples to OpenDSS-G. I fixed the error that I was getting in the capture below, however when I import the dsp file generated it shows nothing. even tho I can switch to simulation mode which means there is something in my opendssG.
Please help me find out this issue or provide me with a 34 test feeder for OpenDSS-G because the idea is that I would like to implement a 34 bus system in openDSS-G so I thought of importing it from opendss, I have no other solution because of my limited expertise in power systems. (School Project)
Yes, the error is very simple, is because you are trying to write at the "Program Files" folder, there are 2 solutions:
Run OpenDSS-G as administrator
Copy the model you are trying to convert to a different location (like My Documents)
That should solve the problem. However, the IEEE 34 bus model is already provided with OpenDSS-G, just go to the installation folder (Normally C:\Program Files\OpenDSSG) and there you will see a folder called "test_systems". In this folder you will find all the test systems provided with OpenDSS in OpenDSS-G format. If you cannot find it, we also have it online here:
