#5 need version identification on components

The components output their name but they do not
identify their version or their configuration
information. Someone trying to update or change the
configuration of a component does not receive
information if the components were updated in the
nodes. It also cannot tell which version they are
talking to.

Some sort of version identification needs to be output.
