After downloading and setting up the DShield Universal
Firewall Client i was able to send email to
reports@dshield.org and my email address.
From last week until today I could only send one
report successfully. The CVTWIN log shows the problem
as follows.
"Unable to send email to reports@dshield.org,
louisd@davidsoncom.net (Error code= -2 Error message
="Bad SMTP server address" Error info
=mail.davidsoncom.net").
I am having no problems with my other emails receiving
or sending.
Louis.

Looks like a configuration error. Please double check the
SMTP Server name field and verify that you can get to it
from your system.
e.g. From a command prompt enter (without the quotes):
"telnet mail.davidsoncom.net 25"
If it still doesn't work for some reason, you can enter
mail.dshield.org as the SMTP server in CVTWIN. But note: You
can only send to DShield if you do this. You can't send a
copy to yourself.
Or is it possible you have a personal firewall blocking the
access?
