Hey all, we're looking for some artisty people.  Below are specifications as to exactly what we're looking for in terms of art.  If you're interested, let me know.

Textures - We are looking for some texture sets for nodes.  Specifically we will be adding some textures that incorporate more futuristic looks to them within a natural environment.  Think about deserted highways worn down, cracked and overgrown.  Think about half destroyed modern buildings turned into huts.  Think about Notre Dame.  Its a bit ambitious, yes, but if we can get it we would really really really want this for our mod.

Animators - One tech goal for our mod is to add at least one workable ladder in game.  According to GPG all that would be neccesary for this is a character animation for it.  This is what we need.  Yeah, we don't need much in this dept.

Modelers - I think for the most part we'll be fine with what we got, though some node design wouldn't be bad for the cathedral we want to put in (though I think most of it will already be in siege edit).  We'll also need some weapon design as that stuff is always cool to add in.  Right now this is the lowest priority for us.

Concept Art - This would always be nice to have around.  It would help give some focus to certain aspects of level design and also help get the entire team on the same page in terms of look and feel of the world.  This is more of a luxury though.  But we are looking ;)

We just had a new artist join up recently...   Jeremy Knudsen (pixelg).  He will be helping to redesign the Guild web site, but might also have time for textures.  Also, Joe is very good with Textures - he even has some on his web site... but will be busy for a few weeks (I think).  And Ron is correct that the other artists are all busy for awhile.

Animators - no one skilled at that yet (from what I know).  However, what is it that you are trying to animate.  I'm not sure I understand.

Cathedral - Ron, I wonder if they have seen yours?  (It would be available once GQ goes live.)

Artist - We actually just had one contact us today.  yay!

Animator - Eventually we want to add in a character animation for going up a ladder. I emailed GPG to actually ask how to do this, hopefully they'll get back to me soon. So this is not anything pressing.

If I'm not mistaken, you would have to create a 'chore' in skrit to handle the event and then add that animation piece for each model that will need to be able to climb the ladder.  But, hopefully they'll be able to explain it in more detail.

Congrats on getting another Artist.  They are hard to come by! :)

Sounds like you'll need more "ruins" models than anything!  All these ruins, and there's Notre Dame!

Will Thundarr and Ookla the Mok be riding through, I wonder?  They will if I have anything to say about it!

Post a list of some needed concept art.  I'm not that talented at it, but I can sketch so a 3d model can be made from it.

BTW, RylanEv, when I said all our artist are busy right now, I didnt actually know that you were involved in our Guild!
I actually thought you were another group trying to grab artists..

Sooo, If I was a bit sharp in my comments, I'm sorry!

And If you need any help just ask!

      Ron

No worries ron - I just took it to mean that most artists in the guild itself were busy on other projects, which I totally understand.  No worries :)

Oh and KC - Thanks for the offer man, we may just have to take you up on that.  Our designer will prolly jump on here or our own forums and post some art descs or whatever :)
