I was wondering if any body has ever tried to go through the game with as a fighter, and than try and go back and redo the game as a mage. I was trying to go back and work on my magic ability when i noticed that i just wasn't making the advancements in my int. levels as fast as i should have. Before i knew it i was level 30 in both combat magic, and nature magic, with an int. of 16. I know that is way below the norm. I went back and started a new game and work only on magic, and noticed that by the time i reached level 30 in both combat and nature magic i had an int of 26. I was wondering why is was so much higher the second time with a new character. Is it something with how the game determines the advancement of the levels and such. Can anyone please explain.

I have noticed that my skills develope difrently depending on the weapons or spells. I have been playing the MP map and after 6 months of carnage i was able to use the dragon chain gun after that my DEX jumped in to full gear and my INT was climbing as well. I don't know if this is programed in to the game or not but it would make sence.

Thats odd, one of my characters has level 11 combat magic, level 5 nature magic, level 1 ranged, level 2 melee. This guy has 17 int.
