Hi, My brother plays Dungeon Seige and he cant play with other people online. He has a fire wall and a router. (Fire wall is ZoneAlarm). People have told him to open like 96 ports, others have said not to. He cant open 96 ports he only has like 34..he called his Cable network and they told him not to open any ports...it is a mess....I would love some information or some help. E-mail me at Jonathan12785@yahoo.com because chances are I wont be able to find this site again lol.
Thanks for your time. later =)

their is a readme file in the dungeon siege folder .. but because im feeling nice i'll post what it says
Dungeon Siege uses DirectPlay 8.1, which typically uses ports 6073, 2302, and 2300.
ZoneMatch Port
AutoUpdate, Chat, Games List, News: 80 TCP
2300 UDP Primary ZoneMatch Port.
Game Session Ports
6073 UDP - Primary: Inbound for Hosting, Outbound for Joining
2302-2400 UDP - Secondary: Inbound
2302-2400 UDP - Secondary: Outbound
Note the word "typically" ... typical m$ for making a standard that is allowed to change :-)
BTW ..;. thats 98 ports not 96 , not counting 80 that you probly allredy have open for browsing ( i'm assuming you mean zone alarm has only 34 , because their is no limit to a router ).... anyway just tell ZoneAlarm to allow DungeonSiege.exe full access to outside world .. you can toggle that off when not playing... the fact that the cable co. is telling you what to do on your own router/firewall would make me a bit worried about them ... but thats just me
