#2 icons not working

I JUST WROTE A LONG EXPLANATION AND LOST IT TO THE MYSTERIES OF THE NET... ANYWAY, THE FACT IS THAT I'M HOPELESS, CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW THIS WORKS.

CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME? EXPLAIN IT TO ME, SO THAT i CAN REPLACE THOSE HORRIBLE XP ICONS...
