Seriously, cron is apparently offline.
Who knows when it will be back?
Well, not me.

So, it looks like another delay.  I will try to figure out a workaround.  Offhand, having drpython run the update script from the server might work.  I'll have to see.
(It would be just as though they were accessing the page.  I can also have the plugins page automatically run it whenever it is accessed).
