I am faced with two decisions for 3.4.0 (which is getting there):
1. Bookmarks Menu. In 3.4.0, bookmarks are intergated into the file dialog for both open and save. Should I keep the bookmarks menu on the main window? Should I make it availible as a plugin?
2. Tabs Menu. Should the Tabs menu be moved to the menubar (Top Row), or be a submenu from file? Also, should I include a list of all open tabs, or leave this to Franz's TabList Plugin?
What Thoughts?

I would like to see the tabs menu in the top row.
Also including at the bottom of the menu a list of all open tabs, as it is in most editors.
for example: list the first 10 tabs and after the last tab "more tabs ..." or so.

Sounds good to me.
(Right before the help menu?).
Only, just how many tabs do you plan of having open?
What about just listing all of the tabs?
yes, before the help menu; that would be a good place.
Sometimes a few, most of the times 15 or 20.
That is the explanation of my wish of an ability of hiding tabs ;)
Sure, all tabs listed would also suffice.
(I thought only, if the place of the drop down menu list
isn't efficient).
my vote also goes to tabs menu in top row (right or left of Options seems OK)
I renamed it Documents menu.
It was very silly of me (and confusing) to have named it tabs in the first place.
I added the documents directly to the menu.
However if there are more than 10, it sorts them
(1-10, 11-20, etc).
I also put the navigational stuff in its own sub menu.
I am updating cvs as I post.
This could change:
I might put the nav menu into the main menu,
I might list the first 10 no matter what, and only sort those over 11.
What thoughts?
