I am starting a thread here to discuss donations.
as of this moment, I want to encourage people to donate.

If every DrPython user <a href="https://sourceforge.net/donate/index.php?user_id=796750">donated</a>
1 dollar(unfortunately, the minimum paypal allows),
I would be rolling in it!  I would be rich I tell you!

The first thing I would dowould be to buy <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00011GY6W/qid=1082082654/sr=1-21/ref=sr_1_21_a/002-1138080-7172846?v=glance&n=1036682"><b>THIS</b></a>,
or something equally cool.

For tripping rag-a-muffins.

Anywho, you can donate to the project itself (moolah goes to the school I have been teaching at for nearly two years), or any individual developer (check the credits section).

I am posting this because:
1.  I am dirt poor, and need some money/cash/dineros.
2.  I want a fancy internet umbrella.
3.  I want to encourage support for open source stuff (I even send a <i>paltry</i> sum to the python software foundation!)
4.  I am curious to see if this will work at all, check the "what am I studying" link on the website.
5.  Did I mention #1?  At the moment, I have about 20 bucks to my name.  Cause if I didn't, I really should have.

Reasons to donate:
1.  DrPython is a kick ass app, and you want to say thanks with a good and proper george washington.
2.  You find it amusing that my first purchase shall be not food, nor tapes for my thesis, but a umbrella.
3.  You want to make a public statement that supporting open source/free projects is important.
4.  The IRS is going to hunt you down, and being able to say "Hey.  HEY!  I just gave a dollar to the DrPython project, and another dollar to the developer himself" will save you your dignity and/or freedom.
5.  Just Cause.
