The interactionspane now handles int- and long-value corner cases correctly.

Languagelevels had a few bugs fixed as well.

Please enjoy this new release, and look forward for a stable release coming out soon!

Updated DrJava Plug-in for Eclipse Released

An updated release for the DrJava Plug-in for Eclipse is now available. This plug-in provides an Interactions Pane and a simplified user interface to Eclipse through a "DrJava Perspective." When the user presses enter, the interactions pane now attempts to detect if the user has not finished typing, giving a newline and not interpreting the interaction if this is the case. For more information, see our Eclipse Plug-in page (http://drjava.sf.net/eclipse.shtml).

drjava-20040618-2037 released

This development release of DrJava includes a great deal of new features and some bug fixes. We have now added support for Language Levels, projects, and Java 1.5 features in the Interactions Pane.

The language level facility supports progressively complex subsets of the Java language. Two of the main benefits of language levels are the avoidance of the need to teach students a great deal of syntax before they can begin to write programs in Java and the commonplace methods such as toString and equals that are automatically generated at the early levels. Only the Elementary and Intermediate levels are supported at this time. More detailed documentation on language levels can be found at http://www.cs.rice.edu/~javaplt/doc/LanguageLevelDocumentation.html.... read more
