Category: Other Group: 2: Annoying Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Marty Stepp (martystepp) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: DrJava (Windows) hangs on exit Initial Comment: DrJava (version 20060918-1737) does not shut down gracefully and instead hangs on exit, creating a dead window with the title "File: (Untitled)" that I must manually kill with the Task Manager. System Details: a Toshiba laptop running Windows XP SP2, Intel Pentium M 1.8GHz, 512MB RAM. JDK v1.5.0_09. I can consistently reproduce the bug by loading DrJava, loading any .java program, then quitting DrJava. If I load DrJava and close it without ever loading any .java programs, it does not hang. The hang still occurs even after deleting my .drjava file and rerunning DrJava with clean settings. This bug also reproduces on another of my Windows machines at home with XP and the same JDK version. I was unable to reproduce the bug on a Windows machine here at my office, which uses JDK 1.4.2. I don't have access to other platforms to test whether it is Windows-specific or common to all platforms. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=438935&aid=1572429&group_id=44253 |
