Category: Performance Group: 2: Annoying Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Jay (leet4life) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: DrJava Slow Initial Comment: i previously posted the following problem, but have made a discovery which may help: ---- im running DrJava with the most current JDK and JRE on Windows XP Pro. My processor is 64bit, but im not using WindowsXP 64 so that doesnt affect anything. I have the most stable release of DrJava. For some reason, DrJava is very slow to process commands, mouseclicks, and keystrokes. The text appearing on the screen lags behind my keystrokes as I type, and doing something as simple as dragging the interactions pane to expand it lags behind the movement of the mouse. In addition, any interaction takes about 3 seconds to resolve, even something as simple as int x; ----- *****ok, so I realized what causes it to be slow when it does: im running it on a laptop, and whenever it is running on battery power, drjava is slow (see original post) however, when i run drjava when the computer is plugged in to the AC outlet, it works fine. How can i fix the problem? ***** ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=438935&aid=1567294&group_id=44253 |
