Summary: javadoc viewing is broken in stable release

Initial Comment:
With Java 5.0 on a FC5 box, javadoc viewing is
broken:  javadoc creates the files but does not
dispaly anything. If one specifies a browser via
preferences then BOTH the built in viewer AND
the browser open to display the javadoc results.

Further, when searching for the browser command
the search window generated a NullPointer 
Exception that crashed DrJava. For students
such behaviour would be terrible.
