Category: Other Group: 4: Serious Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: sreges (sreges) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Poor feedback for programs with bad extension Initial Comment: I'm using the development version (20060320-1906) on a Mac running OS X v10.4.5. If I create a file with a bad extension like Foo.Java or Foo.Foo, the IDE gives very poor feedback about what's wrong. When I "compile all", I get the message that "Last compilation completed successfully" (even though it didn't). If I then ask DrJava to "Run Document's main method", it doesn't respond at all. It appears to do nothing. If I click on the interactions tab, I find out that it is giving me an error message that "Current document is out of sync with the Interactions Pane and should be recompiled!", but I see that only if I click on interactions. I suppose that is because DrJava seems to think that compilation succeeded when it didn't. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=438935&aid=1462888&group_id=44253 |
