Category: User interface Group: 2: Annoying Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Jonathan Lugo (jon-lugo) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Reset Button Doesn't Provide Proper Feedback Initial Comment: Recently the behavior of the "Reset" button has changed so that it doesn't reset the interactions unless something had been previously interpreted in it. Now if you click on the button without doing anything in the interactions pane, nothing happens at all (which is hardly ever the right thing to do, since the user is given no indication as to what is really going on). I propose either: 1. Dissabling the "Reset" button until something is executed in the interactions pane so the user knows not to click it 2. Giving some sort of user feedback explaining that/why the interactions pane didn't reset (so the user doesn't feel frustrated and click the button 5 more times before realizing that this a feature and not a bug) I personally like the first option, but I don't know how much refactoring would be required to implement it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=438935&aid=1446020&group_id=44253 |
