Summary: Compile button doesn't compile all

Initial Comment:
If I press the Compile button, it will ask permission to save all unsaved files first, and then it proceeds to compile.  However, it only appears to compile all files.  I can easily waste half an hour if I change one file but only recompile another.  Why does it automatically save all files if I need to remember to individually compile them?
