Initial Comment:
I'm using Mepis Linux 8.x. I downloaded  drjava-beta-20090803-r4975.jar.
First run from command line was OK, but the program did not find any compilers. Therefore I installed JDK availble to my OS:
java version "1.6.0_0"
OpenJDK  Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_0-b11)
OpenJDK Client VM (build 1.6.0_0-b11, mixed mode, sharing)

Next startup crashes with errors....  Debug file attached.
