Initial Comment:
When I try to select a folder in the project file tree under OS X, the cursor momentarily selects it, then jumps to the last-selected file.  Since collapsing a folder and right-clicking on a folder both involve selecting that folder, all these behaviors are messed up and seemingly unpredictable.
