Assignment between incompatible types is allowed in the interactions pane. (This might have been addressed elsewhere, but I can't find it.)
Running java build 1.6.0-rc-b104, drjava-stable-20061025-1556,
solaris 9.
Open the attached file; in the interactions pane:

> Test t;
> A anA = new A();
> B aB = new B();
> anA = t;

(No complaint about incompatible types.)
