The jar file on that is downloaded seems to be corrupt.
java -jar drjava*.jar yields an error message (before
splash screen, immediately) and drjava fails to start
I downloaded the most recent stable (20080106-0744) jar file and tried it under Linux (Debian 2.6.18-5-686 kernel), Java 1.6.0_03-b05. Indeed, it would not run and complained about a corrupt jar file.
I then extracted the drjava.jar file from the application bundle for the Mac OS X version of 20080106-0744. I played around with it only for a few minutes, but it seems to work fine under Linux.

As a follow up to my previous post, if you use the drjava.jar file from the Mac OS X 20080106-0744 (new stable) version within Linux, the "About" dialog (under the "Help" menu in DrJava) reports a DrJava version of 20080106-0839, not 20080106-0744.

There was a problem during the upload process. I apologize. Please download the newest version again. I have verified that the Mac OS X application, the jar file, and the exe file all work correctly.
