Hi,
I have found a program "module-assistant" in Debian that "helps users and maintainers with managing external kernel modules". I've not used it yet.
I think it's may be good to support this program in "driver on demand". http://packages.debian.org/unstable/misc/module-assistant

Hello
I've tried "module-assistant" in Debian and it's work good for sources of driver that exist as source package. It's has list of kernel modules, that I can update. This program download source package, prepare kernel and module sources, compile and make debian package with compiled modules. With 2.6.x kernel is not work with all modules why not all sources is prepared for 2.6.
Best regards,
