Okay. I'm using Ximian Gnome with Nautilus (if that's not the window manager, I'm not sure what is--crux?--but it's the default installation). I get 75 FPS on average. Maybe 74. Not quite sure how to go about changing the resolution, but it doesn't do it fullscreen. My default screen res is 1600x1200, and the glxgears window probably takes up far less than 640x480.
