Make a mount point for you shm filesystem (like mkdir /var/shm ) and
then add this line to your /etc/fstab :

none            /var/shm      shm    defaults                   0      0

Or mount it by hand.

I've looked through all of /usr/src/linux/Documentation, and cannot seem to
find how to mount shared memory.

Anyone outthere who can give me a quick pointer where to look ?
