Hi, thanks for your help. As you said (and I wrote in my second email) my FC 4 comes with xorg-x11-6.8.2-31. I have tried to install the xorg-x11-drv but it needs glibc-2.4, which are in FC 5. Today I tried to install Xorg-7.0, but when I made ./configure it answered that it needs 'lbxutil', which I haven't. Alltogether it seems to me that is not possible to run i915 without update everything to FC 5, so probably the best thing to do is download FC 5 and reinstall everything! What I forgot to say yesterday is that before installing DRI I was able to run X at 1024x768 16 bit, while after installing DRI I was no more able to see any X interface... >:( Sigh! So, can someone help me to disinstall DRI? Finally, here follows part of my /var/log/Xorg.0.log: X Window System Version 6.8.2 Release Date: 9 February 2005 X Protocol Version 11, Revision 0, Release 6.8.2 Build Operating System: Linux 2.4.21-27.0.2.ELsmp i686 [ELF] Current Operating System: Linux localhost.localdomain 2.6.15 #1 Fri Mar 17 12:32:12 CET 2006 i686 Build Date: 13 May 2005 Build Host: decompose.build.redhat.com Before reporting problems, check http://wiki.X.Org to make sure that you have the latest version.
