Even glxinfo says that direct rendering is enabled. This may be disappointing for you but mach64 chips are rather slow. With glxgears you should get something like 300 fps. The large difference with egoboo between windows and linux may be due to software fallbacks. I remember earlier discussions about conformance vs. performance in the mach64 driver.
