I think I finally got Radeon to work, on my KT133A motherboard (MSI K7T
Turbo), after a half a year (!).
Here is what I did:
1) Upgrade the motherboard BIOS to the latest version.
2) Use GATOS modules (both kernel drm and ati.2)
Now I could play Rune demo with AGP 4x mode and no freeze for few hours.
I am lucky.
Thought this might help someone as well.
I never thought DRI depends on system BIOS :-(

I've had that working since I bought the board, stock install of Red
Hat Linux 7.2.=20
