I just installed redhat-7.0. It is a fresh install, with a Voodoo 3 card.
So that means that I have the modules tdfx.0 and agpart.o.
I tryed pretty much every driver from linux.3dfx.org, and both the kernel
that comes with redhat, and linux.2.4.0-test10.
X seems to recognise dri, because in the output, it clearly says that it
enabled it. Also, xdpyinfo tells me that it works, and libGL.so has the
DRI symbols in itl.
For some odd reason, when I set LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose, it gives the
This tells me that the library is there (and it is), but for some reason
it can't load it.
When I try to recompile tdfx_dri-4.0.1-1.src.rpm myself (yes, at this
glide is installed with the devel stuff and everything), it won't compile.
It seems to look for the g3ext.h header (that is not to be found
Now, I heard somewhere that voodoo cards are well supported under linux.
So I assume that there is some obvious mistake that I keep doing, and at
least one of U guys got it to work (I hope).
I would appreciate it if one of you could tell me how they did it. I have
done some work in OpenGL and I would realy like to port it lo glx....
