To run DRI with my r128, I had to upgrade my kernel to 2.3.55. OK. In
2.3.55, shared memory is a filesystem. OK. Now, all was going fine, until
I realized that I have to mount that filesystem (duh). OK, so now it's in
my fstab. And when X starts up, it sig11s. Humm.. didn't do that before I
was mounting the shm filesystem -- but it gets better. In runlevel 5
(Mandrake-->rl5=xdm), the machine will start up. And X will flicker on and
off, sig11ing like there's no tomorrow -- for a few minutes. And then, all
of a sudden, no more sig11s. X starts up fine. Magic.
(ahem) What in the name of fsck is going on??
