Hello all,
I recently sent a mail [1] to the OpenChrome mailinglist with some
questions about 3D support on Via chips. Someone told me I'd better ask
here, so here I am. I'm using a Via CN13000 (OpenChrome says it's a
VM800 chipset, PCI id is 1106:3344).
I tried some 3D programs, and they seem to work pretty well, now that I
have DRI enabled and "dri" and "glx" modules loaded in xorg.conf. Note
that without those 2 loaded, the X server crashes when running glxinfo e.g.
Question: what is the status of the 3D driver?
Who is working on it? (If anyone, I heard it was unmaintained... Is that
true?) I've heard about 3D "issues", but what are those?
Also, I get a lot of "3D driver claims to not support visual 0x46" in my
terminal when running 3D apps.
An Xorg.0.log can be found as attachment of [1].
Thanks in advance for any reply.
