DRI: Mach64, on Ubuntu 126.96.36.199-4-686
After finally getting the latest snapshot to install, I'm left with
these messages in XFree86.0.log:
Symbol miRegionEqual from module
/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/atimisc_drv.o is unresolved!
Symbol noXFree86DRIExtension from module
/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libdri.a is unresolved!
The debugging guide mentions that:
"If you are compiling XFree yourself keep in mind that it is often the
case that compilation of some library or module will fail (silently) and
when you install not all libraries/modules will be replaced. This can
cause a lot of "Unresolved symbol" errors. Go back to XFree tree examine
world.log and install.log, recompile and reinstall"
While I'm not using the original XFree from this install, it was
reinstalled from aptitude, not compiled by me. In any case I don't think
I'm capable of recompiling. Are these messages related and is there a
solution, or am I out of luck with a hosed XFree?
