Hi, I downloaded the current DRM kernel modules from http://www.xfree86.org/~alanh/, but on running 'make -f Makefile.linux', here's what I got ... Why don't you try the kernel modules that come with RH 7.3 - they should work fine, as 4.2.0 ships with RH 7.3. Alan. Thanks for the reply, but I'm still having a problem with getting DRI enabled. In looking at my X log, I see an entry that says "Direct rendering disabled", but I'm not sure why, and don't really know where to start looking. Here's my X log ... Steve, 16M of memory is not enough memory for running 3D at 1400x1050x32. That is why direct rendering is failing. 1400 X resolution x 1050 Y resolution x 4 bytes per pixel x 3 for front/back and Z buffers ------------------------------------- 16.8 MBytes of framebuffer space You also need room for 2D accelleration in the form of pixmap caching and 3D accelleration in the form of texture caching. I would recommend you either upgrade to a 32M card or cut your color resolution down to 16 bits/pixel.
