I have got a strange problem with my mga g200 8mb agp on a duron 700mhz with 256 mb of ram and a VIA KT133 apollo pro motherboard.
I hhave tried to play both with rtcw, tuxracer and quake3 but all of these
give me gibberish screens instead of the game.
I mean, I know that the rendered image is someway similar to the correct
one because i see the same colours, some geometrical shapes, but
it gets 'scrambled' by some bugs.
I have a Slackware 8 which natively had xfree 3.3.6.
I upgraded first to DRI xf86 from cvs.. nothing to do.
Then I tried to use the original XF86 4.1.0 dri driver with the native kernel
module, no way.
Finally I used the xf86 4.1.0 dri driver with the supplied kernel driver
and MGA HALLIB.
Again, when I start my game i get lots of these:
Failed to upload texture, sz 174592
Memory heap (nil):
heap == 0
End of memory blocks
I tried also deactivating my console framebuffer but I haven't got any solution.
Someone can help me?
