Hi all, I'm using the latest modules from the binary packages (March 28) but I am still getting shitty speeds with Quake 3. I checked my kernel log but this time I am not getting any error messages. Framerates are around 20 fps at 1024x768x32. If I go to 640x480x16 the best I get is around 40-50 fps. I am using an Athlon750, Rage Fury Pro 32mb, 128mb ram. I tried running just X without a window manager etc. to reduce all overhead - but framerates did not improve. So basically I am asking: is this as good as it gets? Or should I expect more? And if I should, any ideas what the problem could be? - Frank |

I have a Rage 128 Fury 16MB and my frame rates are roughly equal to windows. That helped my curiosity a lot. The last CVS update i did (a week back) almost brought the FPS game on par with Windows. -- Shanu - - - - - - - - - - - ( Shanu ) - - Shanker Balan sh...@ex... |
