From: Debian User Jean-Baptiste Note <noteje@po...> - 2001-03-22 00:36:13
Kernel : 2.4.2
DRI build : from ftp CVS snapshot of 21st of march 2001
drm module from dri-cvs, MMX/SSE enabled
agpgart from kernel,
mesa from dri-cvs, SSE/MMX enabled
motherboard vp6 (VIA apollo pro chipset), pIII SMP, radeon 64MbDDR vivo,
Got a weird problem, don't know if it is related to dri or agpgart :
when disabling AGP4X and AGP fast read/write on the motherboard,
I get 1,5 times the framerate I had (under quake3)
with those options enabled. (for AGP, it was enabled at 4X in X too).
(Not to speak of stability, but that was expected)
I'm sorry for taking your time.
I'm an occurence of the I love GNU virus.
Please help me spread.
